Other Experiences

In 2019, I transformed my vision into reality by founding CoderDP, LLC, fueled by a mission to empower small businesses with tailored, high-impact websites that elevate their digital presence. Starting with tailored CMS-based solutions, I delivered websites for clients across diverse sectors—non-profits, religious groups, alumni organizations, food and beverage, and technology—enhancing their brand visibility and engagement.

As client needs evolved, I identified and addressed deeper technical requirements, expanding CoderDP’s services to encompass infrastructure management, ecommerce solutions (including payment processing and shipping logistics), and knowledge transfer initiatives that equipped client teams with self-sufficiency.

This entrepreneurial journey has developed my business acumen, blending my creative/technical mastery with proficiency in client acquisition and retention, negotiation, strategic decision-making, and financial management. Each challenge has refined my ability to identify opportunities and growth gaps and position CoderDP as a trusted partner in digital transformation.

I worked for 12 years as a Network Technician, developing and implementing LAN solutions for businesses throughout southeastern Wisconsin. I assisted in designing LAN infrastructure, including placement of servers, printers, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. I also configured specific solutions for clients, including DNS, DHCP, DMZ, and VPN tunneling. Additionally, I did troubleshooting and break/fix for printers and PCs.

I met with the client for discovery meetings, figured out what they needed, and put together SOWs including itemized lists of necessary hardware/software. I built server racks and relay racks from scratch and installed data and voice cables in over 60 different buildings. A fun challenge I resolved was connecting two independent living center buildings together to the same LAN by implementing a client bridge. Hardware products I implemented and configured included Fortinet, Cisco, and Meraki. At the end of each project, I put together detailed documentation that featured how-to guides, physical drawings, and logical drawings and delivered these to the client.

I also managed a number of office servers, including the use of Linux, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Hyper-V, VMWare, Active Directory, shared directories, NAS (using RAID), and Remote Desktop Services. I was also responsible for regular data backups using Powershell scripting automation and third party services like Carbonite.
